Hello everyone. I know it has been a while. I am working on something I cannot show anyone so it does not leave a lot of time for blogging. But today I visited my pretend stamping friend Lauren and I HAD to do her sketch. She has a tutorial on how to make these sweet little umbrella's. I have a baby due in the early fall (well not me my best friend) and a shower to throw so I think this umbrella thing is adorable.

I made mine with pretty in pink and soft sky paper. The dp is from Sassafrass Lass and perfect if you do not know the sex of the baby. The stamp set is from MFT, Shower Time. I colored with copics and used Adirondack Pitch Black Ink. I used some pink gingham ribbon from SU as the handle for the umbrella and a dew drop at the top. Dazzling Diamonds and my quickie glue pen made the glitter application a breeze.

Bulk buys are great!

Hello all, how is everyone? I have been missing my mojo but I think that it is slowly coming back home.

I created this card with a couple of the bulk buy items for my club next tuesday nite. Unfortunately the ribbon slides are no longer available. Pooie, cuz they are great. And Patty over at Pattystamps taught us all how to color them in. YOu can check it out here.

The card base is bashful blue, the dp is summer picnic out of the occasions mini and it is yummy. The mat under the dp is pumpkin pie. The flowers are the new die cuts also in the new mini. The ribbon is the new poly twill and it is scrumptious. I used a rub on from the bulk buy A perfect Day. This card is really simple and could be used for many purposes. I stamped a Thank you because you always need one of those. The stamp is from the Much Appreciated set.

I colored the slide with a mixture of crystal effects and reinker and applied with a toothpick. Please check out Patty's site. Thanx for looking and have a stamp happy day!

MY MOJO! IF FOUND PLEASE RETURN!!!!!

In the meantime here is a card I made a few weeks ago and it never made my blog. Pretty simple but pretty.

Almost Amethyst, barely banana, and certainly celery are my colors and some whisper white. I used Time Well spent and the Polka Dot Bkgd stamp sets. I cut out my flower, butterfly and leaves. I colored in part of my sentiment with a white gel pen and I colored the flower and butterfly with the blending pen and classic ink pads.

A little fun in the sun

Hello all I know it has been a week again since I posted. So sorry life has just been crazy and I have been busy with my MFT swap. Can't show you until I get my cards back b/c I want it to be a surprise for everyone in the swap.

I created this little scrap book for my club. They will make them when we meet in March. I used drink coasters for the base. I used retired designer paper from SU called Sarah. My colors are so saffron, certainly celery and buckaroo blue. The pics are of my kids running through the sprinkler at Grandma's. Don't these pics make you long for summer? They make me wish it was here already. I love it when everything is so green and alive.

I used some ribbon and buttons and dew drops for accents and the stamp set I used is All through the year. I am really happy with how this turned out. Let me know what you think and have a stamp happy day!

A little twisted!

Hey all, how is everyone? I can't believe that it has been almost a week since I blogged. Crazy week I had and we are having a snow day today. I have been trying to make this card for a week and it just was not working for me. I made this for friends who just found out they are having a baby. Yeah! A new baby to play with.

I used bazzill smoothie cardstock and papertrey ink stampers select in white. I colored with my copics and stamped in adirondack pitch black. The images are from MFT, Stampingbella, and Viva Las VegaStamps. I used twisted chicks directions for the actual card. The ribbon is may arts. Thanx for looking and let me know what you think.

Sale-a-brate good times, Come ON!

I cased a few cards and used some other cards for inspiration but I decided that I needed to use my sale-a-bration sets. I have been finding it very difficult to get motivated with my SU stuff because no one wants to party and my club only meets every other month. I do have one party this month so maybe that will get me rolling again.

The first card I cased from wickedaunt over at SCS. I used textured pretty in pink, black, pretty in pink and whisper white cardstock. I embossed the flowers with versamark and black ep. I them colored them in with a blender pen and classic p in p ink. I used berry bliss designer paper and the rub ons from sale-a-bration. I love pink and black together.

The second card I took inspiration from page 66 in the SU cattie. Taken with teal, pumpkin pie, rose red and old olive are the colors of cardstock and ink. I stamped the butterfly from Merci set in staz on and colored with a blender pen. I also used Bali Breeze dp and pumpkin pie grosgrain ribbon. I made my scalloped edge with SU slit punch.

The third card is cased from Stampin success. I changed the colors around a bit and used the new wild wasabi striped grosgrain ribbon. There are no stamps on this card only rubons from sale-a-bration.

A little casing going on and the hubbys valentine!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! I have to go to the school today to do crafts with the kindergarten class. Lucky me. I can't wait I love Jaedyns classmates they are so much fun.

I cased these candy boxes from Melanie Muenchinger. She has her own stamps over at Gina K Designs. I used her first set of stamps for my boxes called Just So Hippy. The set is adorable. I just love the giraffe and hippo. The boxes are from PTI. There original purpose is to put handmade cards into for gift giving but like many other things in the crafting world there are many uses.

The card I made for my DH is a funny one. I used Twisted Sentiments and Punny Farm both from MFT. It tis my favorite stamp company. I always love what they come up with and Twisted Sentiments is the greatest. The sentiment on the card is actually a combo of two separate sentiments. I flocked my sheep, you can't really see it in the pic. I colored with copics to make my hay. I hope you enjoy today with your loved ones

Getting ready for valentines day and a lost tooth

Hello everyone, It has been a couple crazy days here with the snow,sleet and freezing rain the kids have been home and making me crazy. I love them to death but how much can you do when you can't go outside? Anyway I am glad my little girl was home today because while she was eating some grapes her tooth fell out. It is our first even though her top teeth are missing. The dentist had to pull them because of an abcess so this is a mile marker for her. She is so excited about the tooth fairy coming to visit.

I also had to make the kids valentines because I am the queen of procrastination and I thought no problem I will just make them on Wednesday while they are at school. Well you know how that worked out for me.

I used all papertrey ink stamps from punny valentine because they are kid friendly and soo soo cute! The sheep is for my daughter Jaedyn, the squirrel is for my son Gage and the berries are for my oldest son Kyle. The are pretty straight forward so I am not going to get to detailed here and bore you.

This basket is the neatest thing I ever made. I think it is great for easter or really anytime you need to give a special gift.

I made mine with summer sun textured paper from SU and chocolate chip ink. The brads are from my stash and I have no idea where they came from. The little Happy Easter sign is made with MFT's new Easter set and it is soooo cute! I colored with copics and used my nestabilities to mat with.

A little Mojo

Good Morning everyone, the sun is shining here for a change but it is COLD! I am posting my card for Mojo Monday not quite one week late. I was patiently waiting for my wonderful stamps to arrive from MFT and guess what they came yesterday.

I used the Bali Breeze designer paper as my inspiration and went from there. The card base is pumpkin pie and I also used old olive and cool caribbean (now retired). The main image is stamped on Stampers Select from PTI. I colored with my copics and did a bit of paper piecing. The ribbon is brand new from SU! and to die for. I just love the new ribbon. The stamp set is the new mini Serenity Now.

Non-Traditional Valentine!?!?

Yesterday over at SCS the challenge was to make a non-traditional valentine. Whats that you ask. Well it is a card for your loved one with no hearts, flowers or any shade of pink or red. Yeah right you say. It truly was a challenge for me anyway and this is what I came up with. But low and behold did I play by the rules, of course I did, just because I used my boho medallion maker doesn't mean I should be disqualified. For all of you who did not know I officially renamed SU's new punch, it is no longer a flower punch it is now a medallion maker.LOL!

I used one of my favs from SU Wanted. I used basic grey, creamy carame and really rust cardstock. Linen thread, jumbo eyelet, chipboard letter, a little sponging, a little embossing and I was done and my love is truly wanted.

New Papercrafts Mag ROCKS!

I got my new Papercrafts Magazine two days ago and I have already cased two cards. The first is a card that Nichole Heady actually designed and it is on page 31 with the instructions. For those of you who do not get PCM just leave a comment on this post if you would like the instructions.

This card was actually easy and fun. I could make one for every color under the rainbow.

I used bazzill bubblegum trio paper along with SU black textured. My sentiment is on PTI stampers select and cut out with a nestability. The sentiment is also PTI Out on a limb. Love that new set. The ribbon is from SU!

The next card can be found on page 75 and Jennifer Gallacher designed this card. I just found out that my BFF is having a baby so it is all about babies for me right now.

I used PTI stampers select, bazzill peach, and nanas kids from DCWV paper. There are no stamps on this card. It is also my first sewing on a card and I am sure that you can tell that. It is a shaker card, the buttons actually rattle. the ribbon is from SU! and the buttons are from Doodlebug Designs. I used acetate sheets and foam tape to create the window where the buttons are.

MFT Guest Designer Contest

Hello everyone, can you believe that it is Thursday already. I can't, this week flew by. The family and I are going to see the Globetrotters this weekend. The kids are so psyched. I am kinda excited myself.

Did anyone join in the fun over at SCS last nite with the new release from MFT there was a party and they announced the new contest which was to design something 3 dimensional that would hold candy to celebrate Valentine's Day.

This is my submission. I found this box over on Verve Visuals Blog. There was a link to a site with the directions which I might add were trying to say the least but when I figured it out this box is a lot of fun. The lid and the box are one in the same. The box closes up tight so nothing falls out and no losing the lid.

I used Be Mine stamp set from MFT, whisper white cs, rose red, regal rose, almost amethyst and lovely lilac ink. The ribbon is regal rose 5/8" from SU! and I used my nestabilities to make the sentiment panel. One little dew drop and there you have it a very traditional valentine box. Sometimes tradition is the way to go.

Don't forget to get your comments in for the candy because tomorrow after school I will have my daughter pick a random number.

Beates Weekend Sketch Challenge

Good Sunday to everyone. I hope your weekend treated you well. Mine was not so busy so I got some stamping done. I always love to check out Beates WSC. I actually got one done over the weekend.

I used an MFT mini set called Hot Stuff. It is not a new one but is new to me. I used my favorite colors chocolate chip, close to cocoa and very vanilla. The dp is retired from SU! and a sin as far as I am concerned. It was my all time fav. I used my square punches and my tag punches. I used some hemp twine that I found at Michaels, I love the dark brown color that it is. I also used some very vanilla buttons with hemp tied through them. I stamped with adirondack espresso ink and did not color I thought the simple images looked great on this card.

This was an especially fun sketch and I will probably use it again. Thank you all for coming to visit my blog and to celebrate I will post some candy tomorrow. Be sure to check back so you can have a chance at the candy.

Verve Visual Guest Designer Contest

Good Friday all, it has been crazy weather here and the kids did not have school and I am ready for a break. We have ice, sleet and freezing rain so I can't even send them out to play in the snow.

I did get a chance to stamp and so I made an attempt at the sketch provided by Verve Visual. It is an opportunity to be a guest designer. I used a stamp set from SU! because unfortunately I do not have any of their sets yet. Much to my dismay I might add.

I used Always stamp set and all SU cardstock in taken with teal, old olive, pumpkin pie and whisper white. The dp is Bali Breeze also from SU! The felt flowers and ribbon are new this catalog and the brads are from Rich Regals. I used versamark ink for the heart and sentiment and embossed with brilliance ep from Sparkle and Sprinkle. The 4 gems are from Amuse available at Ellens store.

Combo challenges

Hello all. I know that the counter has surpassed 1000 and I promise to be back on Monday with the blog candy post. But for now I have two cards to show you. The first is a combination of two challenges this week over at SCS. The new technique and sketch challenge all rolled into one.

It really worked out perfectly because the sketch called for a big flower and the new technique was a flower made of paper, the dahlia fold. Now I have to admit at first I did not think I was going to make it through all eight circles but it got easier as I went.

I used all Stampin' Up! products on this card. The designer paper is the new Bali Breeze and I just love it. The ribbon is new to and just beautiful. No stamping on this card as I felt it really did not need a sentiment. Busy enough on the front.

The second card I made for a sketch challenge over at Tami Mayberry's blog. I had been stalking her blog since I saw her on the Hanna Stamps design team and I thought something happened to her because she had not posted in two months but all of a sudden she is back and gave me this great sketch to take on.

The card is 4x9. I had never made a card this size before and it scared me a little but after I was done I actually liked it. Again I used all Stampin' Up! products with the exception of the dew drops. The designer paper is Bali Breeze and the stamp set is Always. I just got this set and I absolutely love it. I embossed the bird with old olive craft ink and clear ep and cut him out. I used textured cardstock and stamped the branch on the rose red piece of cs. The ribbon is old olive 5/8" grosgrain, another of my favs. I love wide ribbon. The dew drops were an afterthought because when I was done I felt like it needed something else. These dew drops have been great in cases like this because if I had used brads they would have shown on the back. Yuck!

Better Late Than Never

Here it is finally I got some time to stamp and I did Laurens weekend sketch. My mojo is off today and I am not up to par but this is a pretty cute card. I liked her sketch it was for a simple layout and I probably took it to the next level but sometimes simple is not so easy.

I used my new Gina K stamps How Sweet it Is. These stamps are stamps for a cause and a certain amount of money paid for the set goes for diabetes research. Gina has many other causes and stamp sets. Head on over to her site and check it out.

I used my cuttlebug for the card base and my nestabilities for the main image and its pink layer. Prima flowers with a Making Memories brad and the bright ribbon is from my stash I do not know the source. I colored with my copics and highlighted with a sakura gelly roll stardust pen. Gotta love the bling. I did away with the sentiment b/c the card base has happy birthday all over it.

I have been MIA I know. I was so sick and needed a break. After stamp club was over last week I just went into hiding and tried to get lots of rest. I have had a cold since the day after christmas and I was sick of being sick. I think I finally feel better and hopefully I can get caught up on my challenges.

This card posted today was for last weeks sketch challenge over at MFT on SCS member company forums. I got some new stamps and I can't wait to use them all. I used Punny Farm from MFT on this card. I made this card with my Grandmother in mind. When I was a kid my gram had losts of chickens so I thought this was fitting. The inside says Just Chicken Up On You.

I used SU cardstock in pumpkin pie, really rust and bashful blue. the dp which is from my stash was my color inspiration. I utilized some dew drops and the photo corner punch. I colored with copics and drew in the grass with my copic multiliner pen.

Gettin' my hands dirty

Hello and good friday to everyone. I recently joined the fan club over at Splitcoast and after this months dirty girls challenges hit the gallery I could not wait to try my hand at some of their challenges.

This was the skectch and general overall theme. I think I am going to give this to my hubby for Valentines Day. I made this card with my new toys from Close To My Heart. I just loved this stamp set and had to have it. Heartfelt is its name and the hearts are just scrumptious. The designer paper is More to Adore and also from CTMH.

My Girl

Hello all. Here is my first scrap page ever on my blog. I took my inspiration from a page in the SU! catalog. I used the same stamp set One of a Kind and the saying My Girl but I changed the colors and the layout. I used pretty in pink, whisper white, basic grey and basic black all textured cardstock. I also used boho bkgds along the top of the page and urban west rub ons. They are hands down my new fav toy. I just love them and they are so easy.

If you couldn't tell I finally got my new toys from SU and just in the nick of time. My first club meeting of the year is tonite. I have been a busy little beaver getting ready for that so I have slacked in my posts. This page is not for club either I just wanted to play and I am trying to get back into the swing of things with my scrapbooking. I am way behind.

The beautiful girl in the pic is my wonderful daughter Jaedyn. She is a great little girl and I don't know what I would do without her or her two brothers Kyle and Gage. I will try to get pages done for them and post them, maybe later this week.

Heart Pocket Card

Today over at SCS was try a new technique and the heart pocket was new to me so I gave it a shot and I was actually really pleased with my outcome.

I used all SU paper, ruby red, cameo coral, very vanilla and ginger blossom dp. The ribbon is certainly celery grosgrain and the pearls are from the pretties kit. I cuttlebugged the bkgd and made my scallops with a 5/8" circle punch that I got from PTI. I plan on putting chocolate in the pocket but I do not have any valentine chocolate yet. The sentiment is from MFT Baby It's Cold Outside and I felt it was really appropriate for valentines day. I did emboss the sentiment to make it stand out.

Still a fluffles kind of day

Now I just realized while I was waiting for my pics to upload that I put the first panel of my card on wrong. What a dummy right? Oh well you will just have to overlook my shortcomings for today I have a nasty cold starting again. No rest for the weary I tell ya

I used bazill card stock to match by doodlebug designs designer paper and my bling is also doodlebug. Fluffles is new and I just love him with that flower in his mouth. Fluffles kind of day

I got some new fluffles stamps from All That Scraps last week and I just got the opportunity to ink them up today to help me catch up with my sketch challenges.

The first one is from Lauren Meaders blog. Every Saturday she posts a sketch to try and here is my creation.

This card certainly has a motto to live by. I used my prism cardstock with the exception of the main image which is on stampers select. The designer paper is basic grey two scoops. The felt flower is Maya Road. The ribbon is American Crafts. I colored with my copics and used a sakura gelly roll pen for some highlights. I also used my new pink liquid applique for the icing, it makes it look real. Some dew drops on the corners and I'm done.

I am back again with another sketch challenge posted by Amy over at prairiepaperandink. Amy just started posting sketches on Fridays and they have been fun so head on over to see her and give it a shot.

I used some more new toys with this card. I used some bazill cardstock, prism cardstock and some new dp from three bugs in a rug coco collection. My main image is stamped on stampers select like always. That cardstock is great for coloring with copics. The stamp set is Wintertime Fun from C.C. Designs. You should really go over to All that Scraps and check out the new little bits stamp sets they are just the cutest. I used my spica glitter pens again to add a little bling and some dew drops in the corner. The ribbon is SU! and the scalloped edge around the sentiment is the scallop circle punch from SU!

I was hoping you could see the bling in the close up but you cannot. Sorry to drag you guys along my path of learning but please hang in there with me.

Beates Weekend Sketch Challenge 30

Hello everyone I sure hope you are enjoying your Saturday. Yesterday I took a spin on over to visit Beate and she had posted the weekend sketch challenge. This is my version.

I got a box of new goodies on Thursday nite and this stamp was one of the goodies. The set is Little Penguins from CC Designs over at All that Scraps. Isn't he just the cutest little guy and he luvs ya!

I used soft sky, barely banana, and pretty in pink from SU!, stampers select from PTI, and the designer paper is from Junkitz shabby chic collection. I utilized my provocraft scissors for the scalloped edge on the large panel. The image wasd colored with SU markers and blender pen with classic ink. I used my spica glitter pens to give the flowers some bling. This sketch was fun. The sentiment is pretty in pink ink rocked in soft sky.

Valentines Galore

I'm back. I just can't get enough of making valentines. It is officially my new favorite holiday. The first card I made with my daughter in mind but I am not all that happy with the turnout so I don't know. I used my new goodies that came yesterday afternoon. I just love it when the mail lady has a goodie box for me. this time it was from All that scraps. I ordered some of the prism cardstock to see what it was like. I do like the texture but it is not as heavy as SU cardstock.

Both of these cards are made with prism cardstock and stampers select from PTI for the main images. I colored with copics on both. You can see in the close up that I used my spica glitter pen on the heart that is from Year after Year stamp set(SU!).

The second card is made with stamps from MFT How Sweet It Is. I also used the sketch challenge MFTSC09 again. This image works really well with that sketch.

ARGH! 13 year old boy birthday cards

Hello all. Did you miss me yesterday? I spent most of the day working on a project for the contest to be a guest designer over at MFT and I was just exhausted and disgusted so I chose not to blog. Today I needed to make a card for my oldest son to take to a birthday party on Sunday and well 13 is just not an easy age. They don't really care about the card only what is in it. But I toiled and troubled and made one anyhow. I went to SCS for some inspiration and found it. Unfortunately I did not write down the name so I will be back to edit this when I look the name up.

Anyhow the bkgd paper was what inspired me and I made my own. I utilized all SU! stamp sets. Just baseball, big deal numbers and happy everything (on the inside) and crosshatch bkgd stamp which is retired much to my dismay. It was one of my favs. I also ended up fulfilling the challenge today over at SCS which was to make a card and stick to two colors from one color family. We could use a neutral color cardstock and black ink.

I used brilliant blue and tempting turquoise from the Bold Brights family. Not my usual but lately I am really enjoying the bright colors. Sketch Challenge

I think I want summer to be here. I have had enough winter. Blah!

Bright colors are not my norm but lately I want bright, summery, warm colors. Keep up my spirits I guess.

I made this for the sketch over at SCS today. We had to make a kickstand card. I have to admit I have seen this before but never attempted it. It was easier than I thought. I used some more Lockhart stamps, this one is adirondack chair. Now can't you just see yourself relaxing on the deck, soaking up the sun, the birds are singing, the kids are splashing in the pool. I know it makes me long for summer.

I used some dp that I had stashed away and I could not tell you where or when I got it. Ruby red, cameo coral and pumpkin pie matched it almost exactly. The main image is stamped on stampers select PTI with adirondack pitch black and colored with copics. Many different ones I might add.

The ribbon is retired from SU! and the brad in the center of the flowers is earth elements from SU! The flowers are Primas and I got them at a scrap festival. The dew drops are from Ellens store. I just love those little things.

Unfortunate Necessity

We all know that this is the dreaded card and I have found that if I make them ahead of time they are easier to make.

I used some stamps that I bought at a festival in the fall. They are from Chapel Road Art Stamps. The sentiment is MFT Essential Sentiments. I also used the linen bkgd stamp from SU!

The card base is stampers select and so is the main image. I used choc. chip, close to cocoa and regal rose as the other colors. Alot of distressing and sponging on this card. The hemp twine is from Michaels and is a deep chocolate color. The swirl at the top corner of the main image is from SU hodge podge.

There is not much more to say other than I hope I don't have to use it. On that note I will end this post. Have a great day!

You Make Me Smile!

I used to think that Christmas was my fav holiday for making cards but now I think it is Valentines. There are endless possibilities for a V-Day card and here is one of them. It's not mushy but still gets the point across and I just love these colors together.

Believe it or not there was no challenge behind this card. I made it all by myself.

I used pretty in pink and basic black from SU and stampers select PTI for the main image and the bkgd that says you make me smile. That stamp is from TAC more one liners and I love it. The main image is from MFT bundles of bouquets. The flowers are from the pretties kit and the brad is also SU! I colored with my copics and highlighted with Sakura gelly roll pen. Love the bling! I dyed the pink flower by smushing it into the PIP pad.

Wild Blue Buggy Bananas

Hello everyone. Happy Tuesday to you all. I did this card for the color challenge over at SCS. It is pretty simple and quick. The stamps are from TAC bug me anytime and more one liners. Cardstock is blue bayou, wild wasabi and barely banana from SU, white is stampers select from PTI.

I utilized my coluzzle for the half circles and colored the bug with a blender pen and ink from the lid of the classic pads (same colors as cardstock). I used soft subtles brads and double stitched ribbon both from SU!. The buggy got some bling with a sakura gelly roll pen. I don't know if I can make any card without adding a little bling.

When I first saw this color combo it stumped me but after a tea and a look at some dusty stamps I figured it out. It was fun. Thanx for looking! Have a stamp happy day!

U Drive Me Wild

Back again. This time I have a valentine. This card was done for the MFTSC12 found over at SCS Member Company Forums My Favorite Things. Cindy Haffner always has a great sketch for us every Monday and they are always fun.

I chose the lion from Its a jungle out there and I surrounded him with foliage. A little flock on his mane and tail and isn't he just the cutest. The designer paper is from DCWV Nana's Kids and some of SU cardstock matched perfectly, green gable, pixie pink and pink passion. The ribbon is from my stash and couldn't tell you where I got it. The dew drops are from Ellens store. I colored with my copics of course. I don't think I have touched another coloring medium since I got them. The u is chipboard that I bought from Michaels in a huge package. I embossed with iridescent ice over pink passion craft. The main image is on dimensionals. Hope you enjoy. Laurens flip it Sketch

Hello again all. I am working on my sketches a little at a time and I have finished Laurens Flip It Sketch.

I have to say that this one was a bit of a challenge for me. I wanted to create two completely different cards with the same layout, nothing similar. I believe I have succeeded. The first card I made was pretty simple. The cupcakes are Lockhart Stamp Co. from Ellen Hutson's store. The two packages are from MFT Shower Time and the sentiment is from SU!

I used all SU! paper, basic black, real red, shimmery white and silver. The cupcakes look really shimmery in real life unfortunately the camera did not capture that aspect. I colored with copics and the ribbon is May Arts.

The second card is MFT Meet Me at the Cafe. The little pooch is so cute and honestly this is the first time I have inked him up. He is on shimmery white again but the rest of the CS is Bazill shades of violet. The flowers are Primas, ribbon is from May Arts and the brads are SU! rhinestone. I used stickles on some of the pooch and I hope you can see that in the close up.

Hanna meets Ginger (Blossom that is)

Hello again. I am slowly catching up.

Did you know that the most talented Beate is back and in full swing. She posted a weekend sketch challenge for us and as usual it was great. I did mine with Hanna. She is just the cutest little shopper. I paper pieced her dress and bags with the new designer paper from SU! and colored the rest of her in with copics. The paper is all SU!, the main image is stamped on confetti cream. The other colors used are textured river rock and smooth cameo coral and ruby red.

I used circle punches and scallop circle punch from SU! I highlighted Hanna's shoes with Sakura gelly roll stardust pen and I gave her a little shadow. The pic did not really pick that up. The ribbon is river rock double stitched available from SU! I used stickles on the heart. The sentiment is from MFT Essential Sentiments proving that they are essential.

Baby girl

Good Monday to everyone. I just can't get my act together on the weekend. I seem to be so busy and can't take the time to post anything. I am behind again. Today my card is for the sketch challenge over at Amy's blog. She asked our opinion on what day to post the sketch and Friday won. Great now if I can get my act together and post sooner I will feel better.

I made this card because soon a new baby girl will be born and I would like to be ready (this is not the norm). I usually make the card on the way out the door to the event. I work better under pressure.

Anywhoo I used Bazill paper in pinks and the white is stampers select from PTI. The organdy ribbon is retired from SU! I colored with my copics and highlighted with a spica glitter pen but alas I was unable to capture that with the camera. No sun here today. The heart brads are from my stash so I do not know where from, the flowers are primas and the button is doodlebug. The stamps are from TAC and the congrats sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

Sunflowers

This card was made for the sketch challenge over at SCS this week (SC157). I did have to move one panel a bit and I guess that is against the rules. It was my first Sketch challenge with such strict guidelines and as I mentioned on SCS authority and I are not the best of friends.

I started with pumpkin pie as my base and used so saffron and retired designer paper for the other layers. My main image is stamped on stampers select from PTI and layered with old olive. I colored the image with my copics and added a dew drop. A little ribbon and some dimensionals and I am happy with the turnout. TFL Have a stamp happy day.

Hello all! I think there is a light at the end of this cold tunnel. It is supposed to warm up here this weekend. I hope so b/c this cold weather is for the birds.

I made this card for the bella sketch challenge 09. You can find all of the challenges at the Stamping Bella Member Company Forum over at Splitcoast. I don't know what we stampers would do without Splitcoast.

I used Whisper White as my card base and designer paper from TAC. I stamped the main image on stampers select cardstock from PTI. I love that paper for coloring it is the best. I colored with my copics and then added some bling with my new shimmer chalks by Pebbles available through your TAC rep. I had to take so many pics to capture the shimmer. I hope everyone can see it. I sealed the chalk so that it would not rub off on everything it came in contact with. I also used a sakura gelly roll pen for more bling. The brad is from my paper pretties kit.

MFT Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone! Another freezing cold day here in NEPA. But today is the end and then next week is going to be in the 50's. Crazy weather this winter. It was in the single digits over nite. Today I am posting the card I made for My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 10. You can find these challenges over at SCS Member Company Forums. They are always lots of fun. My card is a bit late but I am trying to catch up from the holidays.

My second pic is a bit dark but I wanted you to be able to see her boots with the liquid applique on them. I love that stuff. I just ordered more colors from All that Scraps. What a great store that is.

I used all my supplies from my Pretties Kit to make this card. Novembers kit had such pretty stuff it just begs to be used. I colored with copics and used some dew drops that I got from Ellens store. Her coat is paper pieced. Everything got a little bling from a Sakura gelly roll pen.

Hi again. I wanted to post all of the cards I did yesterday so here is card #2.

I used another new stamp from Karen Lockhart. I just love these stamps.

For this card I used elegant eggplant, taken with teal and certainly celery. This color combo was inspired again by the ribbon. I have been hording this ribbon and don't know why it is so pretty it really should be used and besides if I use it then I have to buy more right? Good reason to shop right? Well anyway the dp is also from SU! and is certainly celery designer series prints. The white is from PTI. That cardstock is so nice to color on with copics. I also used some dew drops which were also new from Ellens store. No bling on this card I liked the flowers just the way they are.

Hello everyone. I know it has been a while but I have been very sick and got nothing accomplished.

The kids went back to school today and the quiet is wonderful. I can think and type all at the same time. I enjoyed my time with them but stamping and kids don't really go well together. We played lots of games and lots of Wii. It snowed here a little bit so finally we got to sled. It was a great vaca but I am ready to get back to the regular schedule.

I did take some time yesterday to play with my goodies from Ellen Hutson which I have to say came super fast. I am talking ordered on December 27 and I got the box on December 29. I live on the east coast and her store is on the west coast. I am thrilled with the service they provide and you should see the stamps. I finally ordered some for myself with some birthday money.

I made this card to send to Ellen to thank her for the great customer service. I got my inspiration from the ribbon. It is from american crafts and has been sitting in a drawer just waiting to be used.

I used basic grey, orchid opulence and pixie pink from SU!. The white is stampers select from PTI. I colored the cupcake with my copics, also from Ellens store and highlighted with the spica glitter pens. The sentiments are from MFT Essential Sentiments. The dp is retired from SU! This card was a lot of fun and I am pretty happy with the turnout. You can't see the glitter very well in the pic but it is there. I also used the corner rounder and scallop circle punches from SU!

I survived the holidays

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I have been so busy that my head was spinning and I hate to say it but I am really glad that it is all over. So much to get ready for and then it is over really fast. We had a wonderful day with family but it went by so fast.

This frame is part of my moms gift and I could not post it prior to Christmas for fear that she would see it. The beautiful little girl in the pic is my daughter, Jaedyn. She is 5 years old and one of my best friends in this house full of men, one husband, two sons and two male dogs. I have more pics of close ups and I will post them in a seperate post b/c I have troubles uploading many pics to one post. I used dp from K and Co. The chipboard is from Michaels and I embossed it with craft ink from SU!Ruby Red, Regal Rose and choc. chip. The letters are embossed with iridescent ice ep and the flower with clear ep. The hat pin is also from SU pretties kit. No matter how hard I tried I could not get the glare off the pic in the frame. I made one of these frames for all of my children and my nephew. Busy little elf

I am so sorry that I have not posted in so many days. I tried yesterday and well since this blog is free you get what you pay for. It would not load my pics so I decided to wait till this morning. I have been really busy getting ready for the holiday party at school. I made these treat bags for my sons class. The bags are from papertrey ink. I used my nestabilities to cut the paper and then just two simple images colored in with copics and highlighted with copic spica glitter pens. The mitten image is from the Cats Pajamas and the present image is from Luckys Christmas Wish. I got both from All that Scraps. There is yummy chocolate inside. This is not all I have been up to but I did not want to push it with the uploads. I am so desperately trying to finish some gifts that I am making and wrapping. How does time get away from us so easily. I have been wanting to try some challenges but there just does not seem to be enough time in the day. I will try to post again later. Good Sunday Morning. If I keep telling myself that maybe I will believe it. I have not been sleeping well and it is starting to catch up with me and I think I am getting sick but I have to inform whoever is in charge that I don't have time to be sick.

I made this card for my daughters kindergarten teacher. We have known each other for quite some time now and she is just like Hanna tall, skinny, and long beautiful hair. Anyway I finished the teachers gifts with the exception of the candy in them and thought I should make them cards too. I will post the teachers gifts tomorrow. I used my copics to color her in and gave her a little funflock on the boots. I used my trusty sakura gelly roll pen. Just gotta love that for bling. Just a quick post have a great day.

Laurens Saturday Sketch

I had some time to play today so I got to do Laurens Saturday Sketch it was fun but I had a hard time coming up with small images though. I guess I must steer clear of them. I will have to get some cuz this was fun. The images are from Amuse. I actually bought them at my local AC Moores. It was a pack of clear stamps called baby wishes. I colored the images with my copics. I used 1.25" circle punch and 1 3/8 square punch from SU! I cuttlebugged the apricot appeal that the small images are matted on. The dp on the bottom of the card is from Nanas kids, DCWV. The ribbon is from the one spot at Target. I needed a baby card and this was the perfect way to make myself make it. I just wanted to quickly answer Jennifers question that she left in an old post for me. The nugget boxes went over really well and no one even batted an eye at $8 for the large and $5 for the small. The large held 12 nuggets and the small held 6. But I had one lady tell me she was going to eat the candy and use the box to put another gift in. I wish I had made more b/c they loved them. It was my first time and I just did not know.

Good Morning everybody! The kids are off to school. They were stir crazy yesterday. I got a chance to check out the Member company forums over at SCS and checked out the challenge on My Favorite Things. This is my card made for that challenge. With all the snow yesterday I thought it was fitting. The stamp set is By the seashore and is probably my fav from Kim over at MFT. I am patiently waiting for Baby It's Cold Outside from Paper Pretties b/c Novembers kits never shipped due to some paper problem. I should be getting Nov and Dec kits at the same time. I can't wait to play.

Back to the card. I used Regal Rose, Very Vanilla and Cool Caribbean (retired) cardstock from SU! The designer paper is Blush from Basic Grey. I colored with my Copics which came from Ellens store. This is the first time I have posted anything that I have colored. I have been practicing. I am not ever satisfied with my results and after I am done I always find room for improvement. The sand is embossed with embossing powder from Sparkle and Sprinkle. I bought it at a stamp festival. The brads are Making Memories and are a dead ringer for SU regal rose. SU does not have any to match regal rose. One of my complaints about su is that they should have brads to match all of their colors. I colored over her shirt with the copic spica glitter pen just to give it some bling. I did a little paper piercing at the corners of the main image b/c I felt it needed a little something else. Her hat is on a dimensional and the shells are cut out and attached with glue dots. Sending you sunshine was perfect considering it snowed 10 inches here yesterday. TFL. Have a stamp happy day!

Snow day

I know that it is late but after the day I have had this is the first peace and quiet this girl has gotten all day long. 10 inches of snow later, no school, a husband who could not work b/c of the weather, 2 dogs and all they do is eat. Calgon take me away. I pretty much spent the whole day in the kitchen cuz like I said all they do is eat. They must starve to death at school. The three of them made me crazy and you can only send them out in the cold wet snow for so long. I did manage to address my xmas cards so hopefully I will make it to the post office tomorrow. We are due for another butt full of snow Saturday nite into Sunday. It's beginning to look too much like Christmas. Its only December and I have already had my fill of snow. I am one of those people who would function best in Arizona.

On to my card. This is one of the many cards I made this holiday season and I had to wait for the recipient to get it before I could post. I did not mass produce due to the fact that I just made my wedding invites not too long ago and that just about killed me. So just about everyone is getting their own special card. Maybe I needed 40 to 50. I did not count and I don't want to know. This card was uber simple. Take some bravo burgundy from SU! add a little figgy puddin' paper from basic grey add a gorgeous poinsettia from prima and some bb ribbong from SU! Stamp a little sentiment from our friends over at papertrey, emboss it and wa la. Beautiful card. Quick and easy. I gave you a little close up of the prima b/c they are just so darn pretty. I got the flowers from a semi-local scrapbook store which is unfortunately closing its doors at the end of the year. Bummer for me b/c all we really have is AC Moore and Michaels. Not really the greatest of choices. Any whoo it is getting late and I should be getting some rest b/c I will have to stay up late for the party over at scs tomorrow for PTI release and Hanna has a release tomorrow. What should a girl do buy xmas presents for her husband or buy much needed stamps? Have a stamp happy day!!!!

I finally figured out how to post links in my blog. Yeah!!!!! It will be so much more exciting now.

Well exciting until I screwed up the pics for this post. The second pic is sideways and I don't know why. Computers! Arghh! These lovely cards are my Thank yous from the wedding. I finally got them done, wrote out and mailed. What a feat on top of everything else going on. I want to thank Nichole from Papertrey Ink. These cards were inspired from a project she did. I used Stampers Select Cardstock from PTI. Certainly celery CS from SU!, ink from SU! Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink, the gingham ribbon is also from SU!, along with the silver eyelets. Beautiful Blooms from PTI is the stamp set used. I wanted something simple because of mass production. I love the way they turned out and I waited to post them until I was sure that everyone got theirs. I think my aunt peeks in on me every once in a while and I did not want to spoil the card. On another note my christmas present came but I am practicing with them b/c man does it take practice to color with copics. Hopefully soon I will have something for you to see. 7 things about me

1. I was in the Marine Corps a very long 15 years ago.

2. I was a helicopter mechanic while in the Corps.

3. I despise the pillsbury dough boy. He annoys me so much. Did you ever just have some crazy thing annoy you and not know why. Well it is the dough boy for me.

4. I worked in the operating room for 10 years, I learned so much in that time and made lots of friends but got burnt out and I do not miss it all now that I am a SAHM.

5. I just got married to the love of my life in September and went on my first cruise to the Southern Carribean. It was hot.

6. I am very new to the stamping world only since last February but it has taken me by storm and I absolutely love it.

7. I attended college while I was a full time Mom, working 32 hours a week in the hospital, and then had a baby in the middle of it all, only to have my life take such a turn of events that I will probably never pursue my law degree which was my original plan. Even after all of that I am happier now than ever and have 3 beautiful healthy children and a man who loves me and my children unconditionally.

Finally finished the order

Hello again, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I finished up my order for everyday cards as a gift and I got the fifth grade ornaments done. Being one of the homeroom moms it was my turn to take care of the craft. It was actually easy b/c its Christmas time so I thought they should make ornaments. The goal is to have them all bring a pic in so they can make the coaster ornament but if not they can make the lantern ornament. Both ornaments are fairly quick and easy. I will have all elements cut and ready to be attached. The picture ornament is made with a drink coaster, designer paper, cardstock, SU snowflake punch, brads and silver cord. I used my crop-a-dile to punch the hole. The lantern is made with 12 pieces of designer paper 1"x 6". YOu need a crop-a-dile again to punch the holes and run some ribbon through and your done. Cute and easy. The other pics are a sample of some of the cards that I made for the order I had. The first card is made with Garden Silhouettes from SU!, colors are pumpkin pie, apricot appeal, and whisper white. I used my markers from SU! the green is old olive. Very simple but I thought it is very appealing. The second cardis made using PTI cardstock. I used PTI Beautiful Blooms and SU! ink. The bling is from Amuse. Just quick simple cards but the customer wanted to not spend a lot per card and likes flowers. Just a few examples. Hi all. I know its been a couple of days. I have so much to do before Christmas including my thank yous from the wedding. Add to that list the bright idea that all teachers gifts should be handmade, a project for the 5th grade xmas party, my own xmas cards, an order for 24 everyday cards as a gift, my grandmothers handmade gift and my bff handmade gift, 3 children, 1 husband, 2 dogs and laundry, cleaning, you know the everyday things. Well I should be due to pull my hair out soon. Thank goodness club is over until January. This file folder card was made for my wonderful ladies in SU club. We had a little card swap and this is the card I made for everyone. All supplies are from SU!. I embossed the pointsettias with silver embossing powder. I just love the shine. Can you believe I was able to capture it with my camera. Thank you to Beate for this tutorial. I just love this card they are so much fun to make. The designer paper is wintergreen, one of my favs from SU!. If you have any questions about specs please email or leave a comment and I will get back to you. Season of Joy is the stamp set used. I find myself using this set all the time. Finally I made a good purchase from SU! I find myself buying alot of things that I never use or never sell even after demonstrating them. As you can tell I am struggling with the decision to remain a demo. The only reasons I have come up with are my wonderful ladies in club and cardstock. Other than that I find myself spending far more than I make especially with always needing to buy new sets. So if anyone has any input on this matter or feels the same or has been through this any input would be greatly appreciated. Have a stamp happy day!

Hello again. I know I said I was going to be more regular but the weekend got away on me and I had a sick child yesterday with a visit to the doctor. It has been a bit crazy here. But anyway here are two more Christmas cards I made. I decided against the mass produced card and just make a bunch of different ones. I have so many stamps and I enjoy using them all. The first card is made with stamps from the Cats Pajamas. I bought them from All that Scraps. The designer paper is figgy pudding. I used liquid applique on her hat, coat, and muff. Isn't she sweet. The sentiment is Stampin Up!
The next card is made with the wonderful Take a bough set from PTI. I used page pebbles from Making Memories on my ornaments. they are also available from PTI. It is not your typical xmas colors but that is what appeals to me. Too much red and green will give a girl a headache. Everyone should try and make a xmas card with non traditional colors, you just might like it. If you do try leave a comment and link to this post. I would love to see what everyone comes up with. Holy Cow!

Holy cow can you believe it. Two days in a row. I am back again this time with a card I made and to answer a question I got on my treat boxes yesterday. Nancy asked how much I charged for those bad boys and the answer is $8 for the large and $5 for the small and everyone bought them without a blink of an eye. My card I am sharing today is a Hanna Stamps xmas card. All the paper products are Stampin Up! along with the ribbon and ink. One exception to this rule is white cs. I always us PTI white cs.

Hanna has fun flock on her boots and the snow has some flock. I am having a time with pics and can't seem to master it. So if anyone has any pointers or advice it would be greatly appreciated. If anyone wants specific instructions or ingredients just ask. I feel like I sound redundant by repeating myself all the time. I colored with my SU! markers b/c my Christmas present is not here yet but should be shortly. Guess what I am getting. Copics!!!!!! Yeah!!!!! I can't wait. I ordered my ATG gun for adhesive and that should be here soon. I get so frustrated with snail adhesive b/c it falls apart. Permanent my butt. Two very talented ladies introduced me and all their blog readers to the ATG gun from Scotch. It is supposed to be great. I can't wait for it to get here. Lauren Meader and Ellen Hutson are the two very talented ladies who taught me all about this gun. I ordered it from framingsupplies.com. I can't believe that it has been over a month since I have posted anything. It was a crazy month of craft fairs and whatnot at school with the kids. But that is no excuse. LOL! I wanted to show you these boxes that I made for one of the craft fairs that I attended. The first pic is the inside of the box with the red ribbon and the other two go together. this truly is a learning experience all this blogging. I screwed up when I downloaded the pics but you get the gist. I used Holiday Treats stamp set from PaperTreyInk. One of my favorite companies. Inside the box is some scrumptous Hershey nuggets. I stamped mailing labels with the Holiday Treats and wrapped them around the nuggets. The boxes came from ACMoore in a set of two, one large one small. One set had a tree the other had a star on top. I covered them with dp from DCWV, wrapped a little ribbon around the lids, some treats inside and they sold like hotcakes. This is a little card I made using a House Mouse stamp. They are just the cutest little stamps. This little guy has flock on his santa hat. I stamped him with adirondack pitch black and then colored him with su watercolor pencils and a blender pen. My pic does not do this card any justice. The background is a stamp from su and I colored the berries on the holly with my copic spica red glitter pen. The sentiment is also su. The ribbon is basic grey. I used always artichoke and rose red su cardstock and papertey ink white cs. He is a cutie none the less. This blogging thing is more complicated than it looks. This is supposed to be my second entry for today but for some reason it is at the top. Please bear with me while I sort out all these technical difficulties.

Hello and how is everyone on this fine fall day. It has stopped raining and the sun has come out here in the NEPA. We have nothing to complain about. I made this card last night for the MFTSC02 on SCS. I did not have enough time to add it to my blog b/c it was late.

Hello again. It has taken me all day to post because blogger could not upload pics. Just a quick card. I have not mastered the picture taking yet so it is not the best pic. The stamp set is Big on Christmas from SU!, all paper is from SU!, snow blossom punch and fire rhinestone brad from SU! It was a quick and easy card, possibly for mass production. Simple is sometimes best. I just love to make Christmas cards. Have a great nite. I'll post again tomorrow.

Hello everyone. I am finally back and the wedding went very well and so did our trip. I have been avoiding the blog thing mostly b/c I stalk many blogs and it has intimidated me. I feel as if my talents can't compare. I am not even close to being in the same league. However reading these blogs I learn something new everyday and it inspires me to keep creating. So I have decided that Rome wasn't built in a day and so we all must start somewhere. So here we go. My card today is my first Hanna Stamps creation. I just love this stamp set. It is so girly, perfect for teenage girls or girls my age trying to stay young despite the fact that our children are growing like weeds and will soon be taller than us. For this card I used all SU paper with the exception of the white which is from Papertrey Ink and by far surpasses Whisper White in quality and color. I paper pieced Hanna and her bags with Flowers For You DSP. The flowers are prima and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I made this card for my BF just cuz. This card also is for Beate's weekend sketch. I hope you enjoy. Have a stamp happy day.

Hello again everyone. Back so soon you say. Well I just had to try and upload some pics. Amazingly enough it worked with only two tries. This may be easier than I thought. Just a simple b-day card. I used So Saffron and Soft Sky cardstock, Blue Bayou ink to edge my photo corner which is from OB Blossoms and Basics along with the petals that I covered with Rose Red DP and sanded the edges. The center of the flower is covered with So Saffron DP topped off with a button and linen thread. The photo corner is covered with Soft Sky DP edged and then wrapped with hemp. The sentiment is from SU Hugs and Wishes. All images are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted. Hope you enjoyed my first card ever posted. Not my first card ever. Hello everyone. My name is Stacy. I am brand new to this blogging thing so you may have to bear with me for a while. Let me tell you a little about myself to start. I am a SAHM who loves to stamp and scrap inbetween helping my soon to be husband with his business and raising my three beautiful children. I am getting married in two weeks and I am very anxious and excited. I thought about not starting my blog till after the wedding but then I thought that maybe it would be a good way for me to vent, get my thoughts out, however you want to word it. Sometimes it makes you feel better to just write things down. So please bear with me through these next few weeks while I finish all the plans and try to learn how to upload my pics to this blog.
